Red Devil Families, this is a quick reminder there will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow for students or staff. On Thursday, November 11th, N-CHS will be observing and honoring Veteran's Day. National Technical Honor Society will be collecting peanut butter and jelly throughout the month of November for the Corner Table in Newton. Please send donations of PB&J with students to help support this wonderful ministry.

In Red Devil Athletics, congratulations to our men’s soccer and football teams who completed their seasons this week after making state playoffs. Our Winter sports seasons have begun, which includes men's and women's basketball, as well as wrestling. We look forward to these competitions beginning soon and wish these athletes and teams the best of luck!

Sophomores will be taking the Pre-ACT, while our Juniors will be taking a College and Career Readiness practice exam which will prepare them for our Spring administration of the ACT. Testing will begin promptly at 7:40am. Please be sure to have students on time. Our Senior students will have the opportunity for a College Exploration/Visit Day on October 26th. More information will be sent out to Senior students from counselors and during Senior Homeroom.
In Red Devil Athletics, congratulations and GOOD LUCK are in order to our women's golf and tennis programs. Beginning the week, Hailey Hicks, Celeste Little, and Sondra Uon all qualified and will be participating in the State Golf Tournament in Southern Pines. In tennis, Alexa Allison won the 2A Western Region Individual Tennis Championship on Saturday! She will now be participating in the State Individual Tournament in Apex on Friday. Senior portrait makeups will be tomorrow, September 7th. Seniors, please come prepared for those pictures with your $25 sitting fee and dress to impress! Also, 2021 Yearbooks are on sale now for $80 and can be purchased from Mrs. Smith in room 214 or from Ms. Kisser in the office.
Student parking passes will be sold in the cafeteria during lunch this week. Seniors will be sold on Tuesday, September 7th, Juniors on Wednesday, September 8th, and everyone else on Thursday, September 9th. Please pick up the parking form in the front office and have it completely filled out before purchasing your permit.
Athletics for this week include home volleyball games on Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 4:00pm. JV Football will be away on Thursday at South Caldwell beginning at 7:00pm. Friday will be our first home Varsity football game versus South Caldwell beginning at 7:30pm. Please come out and support our Red Devils.

Car riders, please follow the traffic pattern for arrival and dismissal from Newton Police. All cars must enter the lower side of the parking lot by the football field from the direction of Discovery High School. Left turns into the parking lot after 7:15am are not allowed. Please depart the parking lot by turning right moving past the High School. Students are also not allowed to be dropped off or picked up on the side of the street. Please help us keep our students as safe as possible on and around our campus.
